Bedskirts and Books

After a breakfast at Omelette Parlor (just the girls, although it was Daddy's idea) and naps, we put on Gabrielle's new bedskirt that Grandma M. ordered for her. She loves it and thinks it is so beautiful. We also enjoyed some books. Gabrielle listened to some books on record and Mommy read to Nicolette.

Gabrielle had her first day of preschool! Our big girl is growing up! She did so well and we are so proud of her! (9/8)

Nicolette missed having her sister around. As soon as we got in the car after dropping Gabrielle off, she looked at her sister's car seat and then pointed at it and said "this" or "sis." On the second day of school, when I told Nicolette we were going to pick up Gabrielle, she said "sissy."
Mommy and Nicolette had fun at the park, went out to eat lunch, and did one errand while Gabrielle was at school.
We went to Cafe' 50's to celebrate with Daddy that night:
The day before preschool started, Gabrielle made a cake and Mommy decorated it to look like a crayon box to celebrate with Daddy after dinner and crayon pretzels to take to playgroup (9/7):
Before school started, Gabrielle got to visit three times in August for about a 1/2 hour each time to meet her teachers and see the school. She went to her classroom with the kids that were in it last year and during the summer. So, now, the kids are new, but she got to meet one of her teachers (the second teacher got switched right before school started).

We had lots of fun over Labor Day weekend in San Diego with Grandma and Grandpa M.!
